West Coast Road Trip: Oregon
Finishing our trip in one of our favorite places - The Oregon Coast. There is just something about this place and if you have been here… you get it. You see these beautiful rock formations up and down the coast with the most beautiful trees, wild grass and flowers, and sandy beaches. So many of the beaches are empty too, so you could just walk for miles and just be with nature. It is truly one of the most wonderful places we have ever been.
I don’t have that many details to share about this leg of the trip, as I was still recovering. But we took the 101 along the coast from northern California, stopping at tons of pull offs to enjoy the beauty all around us. We did this drive in two days, but we probably could have taken two weeks. If you are planning a trip to Oregon, you have got to make it to the coast.
Our drive on Route 101 took us to a very popular spot along the Oregon coast: Cannon Beach. It is a perfect, little coastal town with a huge beach (dog-friendly) and a ton of lovely and cute restaurants and shops. It is a great family vacation spot and we were so happy to spend a day and a half here before heading home. It is only a 4-hour drive from Seattle, WA (🙌🏼) and a 1.5-hour drive from Portland, OR do if you are visiting any of these cities, even in the off-season, I would recommend a trip to Cannon Beach.
Anywhere you go on the Oregon Coast is truly beautiful. Hopefully I will do an in depth review on Cannon Beach and other vacation spots, but for now I hoped you enjoy some beautiful photos of the west coast. We had an amazing first trip in the van (minus the whole getting sick part). We learned a lot about the van and traveling in this way. It only made us more excited for our future trips, which I can’t wait to share!
